EtherCAT and FSoE: Addressing by DIP switch S1

Relevant for any type of drive controller:

NOTICE

Material Damage!

On the open unit a dry, non-conductive pollution may only occur. The penetrating pollution into the open housing may not affect the functionality of the device (EN 61800-5-1, pollution degree 1).

Ensure that no objects fall into the housing when working on the open housing.
Foreign objects can cause short-circuits during operation and thereby destroy the device.

By means of the DIP switch, the EtherCAT and FSoE address of the controller will be set simultaneously.

FSoE addressing:
See document Safety manual; functional safety, Part no. 203446

The address setting by DIP switch is prior to addresses via parameter ID34023 'BUS address participant'.

The value, set in the DIP switch will be written to parameter ID34023.

Address range up to 63

Example: address = 3

If you change a fieldbus participant which is addressed by DIP switch, make sure that the address is set correctly to the new device.
