Firmware update with TwinCAT

Connect your PC to the controller card in the converter.

Start the TwinCAT System Manager.

Select the EtherCAT master and the desired device (here 'Antrieb 3 (iX)' ).

Right mouse button: select 'Firmware update'.

Select 'File type: All Files (*.*).

Select the desired firmware file (here 'iX_SW_102_1234_204238') and 'Open'.

The password function is not implemented in AMK controller cards.

The download is prepared and will start with 'OK'.

It will take about 150 s to download the firmware.

Afterward the following message appears with successful transfer:

The firmware update is finished.

If the download is not successful, the following message is sent:

The error number (here: 0x700) can be analysed by AMK service.

If the firmware download will fail another time, you should send the controller card back to AMK.
