Hybrid distributor

The KHY 1 devices (in the H 8A version) connect the KE/KW control cabinet system to the decentralized ihXT or ihX devices and provide power supply, 24VDC logic, and the STO (Safe Torque Off) signal. The KHY 1 protects the DC bus for the decentralized circuit with fuses in the event of a short circuit and is protected against overload by an I²t counter. Fuses in the KHY 1 also protect against short circuits in the 24VDC and STO paths.

The EtherCAT switch in the KHY 1 ensures the correct EtherCAT connection between the control cabinet devices and the devices in the decentralized circuit. The KHY 1 can be connected in series, allowing multiple parallel decentralized circuits to be supplied.

Hybrid cable interface board

The passive hybrid cable interface board as a DIN rail solution offers an alternative to the KHY 1 when only a single decentralized strand is required. The hybrid cable interface board does not have an integrated EtherCAT switch, nor does it include short-circuit and overload protection, which must be implemented by the customer.
